Reqiva are currently working with an exciting company based in Farnborough who are on the lookout for a Lead Developer with Java & Kotlin experience to join their rapidly expanding team. 

This is a fantastic opportunity to be a key part of the team in a hands-on position with a big focus on leading the team.
  
Up to £90k plus benefits, remote with occasional office visits.

Backend Team Lead Responsibilities:

• Developing & maintaining Java applications.
• Interpreting briefs to create high quality code that matches specifications.
• Plan, prioritise, assign, and execute tasks through the full development cycle.
• Identifying and resolving issues with applications.
• Performing Peer code reviews.
• Mentoring team members helping their growth.

  
  
Backend Team Lead Skillset:

• 8+ years’ working experience in software development.
• Experience in Java development.
• Good working knowledge of Spring, Microservices & Kotlin.
• Experience in the following technologies is advantageous: Monolith, Quarkus, Kubernetes, OpenShift.
• Experienced with team management and mentorship.
• Ideally educated in software/engineering or system related subject to BSc level or higher.
• Be personable and have good communication skills, pro-active and confident to present in team meetings when required.

  
You don’t need to have experience with everything listed but you do need to be hungry to learn.
