Platform Database Engineer (PostgreSQL)

Reqiva have partnered with a fantastic Reading based company who are looking for talented Platform Database engineers to join our growing engineering team, working within our existing QA team.

This role is looked within Reading but the company are offering a hybrid role with 1/2 days within the office. 

Our client is looking for mid-level to senior candidates and have a salary bracket of between £60,000 - £80,000 per annum plus benefits.


Candidate Qualifications:

• Experience with clustered database deployments (e.g. PostgreSQL) including tuning and automation.
• Experience using Python in automation of system administration tasks on Linux-based platforms
• Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g. VMware or KVM) and containerization (e.g. Docker, containerd, Kubernetes)
• Knowledge of computer networking fundamentals including IP-based communication

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience of developing scalable systems and platforms
• Experience with system deployment techniques for one or more of AWS, GCP, Azure.
• Experience with one or more Linux package management system (e.g. Dpkg, RPM)
• An aptitude for developing and validating secure software
