Principal DBA | Database Administrator | PostgreSQL, MSSQL, MYSQL, MongoDB

This is a unique opportunity to join a growing and established, FinTech business who have over 4 million customers on their platforms and are transforming their products, technology capabilities and environment.

They are looking for a Principal DBA | Database Administrator to take ownership of the database management systems, help shape the new road-map and solve Enterprise, complexed technical challenges across their database infrastructure and storage systems. 

Challenges:

- You will be in a critical role, helping to advance their database environment, working with the global team of of DBA's, across time zones, providing guidance, coaching and mentorship as required.
-You will be overseeing design, development, and implementation of their storage systems.
- As part of this you will ensure 5 x 9s availability, optimisation of performance and scalability.
-You will implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions for critical databases.
-Collaborate with senior stakeholders, cross-functional squads, working closely with cloud infrastructure and analytics teams. 

Experience required: 

-Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related fields.
- You will need a minimum 15 years commercial experience in database administration and database management.
-In-depth knowledge of database management systems particularly, PostgreSQL and familiarity with other databases such as Oracle, MSSQL, MYSQL, Mongo and associated technologies.
-You will need a strong understanding of database design, optimisation, performance tuning and security. 
-You will need experience if high availability, and disaster recovery solutions; clustering, back-up and storage.
