Principal Software Engineer

They are looking for Senior Software Engineers to reach their ambitious goal of gaining better modularity and scalability, 99.99% uptime, 24/7 availability with high security - and low latency for all users on their global platforms!

Responsibilities:

• Work with the architects and development team to add new features, realise new ideas, and support our rapidly growing platforms. You'll be solving problems and extending the existing components to keep up with fast-paced product teams, covering different business units, trading platforms and payment systems.
• Use your experience and skills to help train the next generation of developers. They have a large engineering team: 200+ developers and testers based on four continents. One common trait is that everyone wants to learn.
• With your experience and knowledge, you’ll translate business requirements into technical requirements and provide actionable, data-driven insights to their tech teams to ensure our products match customers’ demands.
• Transform complex processes and code into understandable, well-structured documents. Develop and update robust libraries, training manuals, documentation for APIs, a coding style guide, and other technical documents for achieving a clean, consistent, and maintainable codebase.

Candidates we are looking for will have:

-10+ years of experience in software development, preferably full-stack

-Successful mentorship or management experience

-Strong technical abilities in AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and other cloud technologies

-Strong software development skills in any mainstream language such as: Java, JavaScript, Perl, Node.js.

-Knowledge of front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, Typescript

-Deep experience with databases such as PostgreSQL

-Excellent spoken and written English communication skills

-Outstanding communication and people skills

-Strong knowledge of information security and software development best practices

Beneficial experience includes:

-Experience with user-interface design

-Experience with asynchronous programming

-Experience with relational database design

-Familiarity with microservices, system architecture design

-Background in Linux and enthusiasm for open-source
