Principal Software Engineer | open-source | AWS

We have a unique opportunity for a leading FinTech business who are expanding their UK team looking for experienced Principal Engineer's.
They are a leading platform busines with several offices globally, going through a technology transformation with a key focus on scaling their products and services.

Responsbilities: 

As a Principal Engineer you will play an essential role in technical contributions, affecting the companies growth and success. You will also support the growth of platforms and mentor and perform code reviews for other developers, whilst developing solutions, solving technical problems of high complexity and leading architectural growth. You will work in partnership with VP's and other Principal Engineers as the company forge out a new team.

Experience required: 

-It is essential you have a minimum of 15 years commercial experience in software engineering.
-You are required to have experience in Open-Source environments, you should be happy working in multiple languages such as Perl, C++, JavaScript, Node.JS, React and Typescript.
-Experience in Cloud production environments is also required - AWS or GCP.
-Experience with Microservices, low latency, software security, enterprise customer facing platforms is desirable, however not essential.
-Skills in DevOps, Kubernetes and Docker will also be benecial.
