QA Manager | Aerospace | AS9100
Reqiva is seeking an experienced QA Manager to work for a Central London based Satellite communications company.
The role is a Pivotal role which will work to develop and establish the companies Quality Management systems and Processes and AS9100 Accreditation.
Working in conjunction with the Head of Supply Chain to design and implement a World Class Quality Management System and Supply Chain. Key deliverables will include:
  • Support the Head of Supply Chain to implement an effective Quality Management System in order to achieve and maintain accreditation to AS9100 Rev D.
  • Ensure development of a capable Quality Assurance team in line with the growth of the business.
  • Assess the suitability of potential suppliers as part of the Supplier Qualification Process
  • Establish Surveillance Audit Processes and deploy to ensure consistent adherence to the QMS.
  • Establish and manage quality surveillance activities for key suppliers to ensure quality standards are maintained.
  • Establish and Implement an effective First Article Verification Process as part of a New Product Introduction Process
  • Establish and maintain a set of supplier and internal Quality KPIs to drive continuous improvement in the pursuit of a world class product and supply chain.
  • Successful management of Product and Project Quality Risks, Threats and Opportunities to ensure successful delivery of company goals.
  • Management of Customer complaints to ensure timely resolution.
Qualifications and Skills Required for the role of QA Manager.
  • Working Knowledge of AS9100 Rev D and Management of Accreditation Audit
  • A track record of leading Quality improvement across all phases of the product lifecycle leading to reductions in the cost of Failure.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in the application of Root Cause Corrective Action methodologies such as 8D or similar.
  • In depth knowledge of 6 sigma and associated tools such as FMEA, Control Plans and SPC.
  • A strong background in electronics box build
  • Excellent communication skills - written and verbal. Fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Strong interpersonal skills. Able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation and with customers and suppliers.
  • Ability to effectively present information in team meetings and design reviews as needed.
This role holds a salary of between £70,000 to £80,000 + Bonus + 25 Days Holiday + Flexible Working.
