Java | Python Software Engineer

This is a unique opportunity for a Global brand who are looking to expand their team in hiring a Software Engineer to build new features and contribute to a team working on an Enterprise Machine Learning platform. 
As a Java | C# Software Engineer it will be highly desirable if you have experience in machine learning, especially working in an environment alongside data scientists and ML Engineer's. 

Responsibilities: 

-You will be working in fun and friendly team on the full process from design, to code, to test and deployment. 
-You will be touching code at every level – from the UI, backend microservices, database, big data processing, operations, to CD/CI automation.
-You will be building an exciting machine learning platform that will enable the data scientists to be more productive across an enterprise, global business that are a recognised leader in their market and innovating!
-They are business improvement focused, you will be involved in the open source community looking to help shape technology the business adopts to enhance their worldwide platform.
-Collaborate closely with data science teams to define feature specifications and develop high quality deliverables for our customers.
-Take ownership for the quality of the code.

Experience required:

- Computer Science degree or equivalent experience
- At least 5 years’ experience of commercial software development
- Core Language experience with Java or C#.net
- Willingness and ability to take on new technologies
- Ability to break down complex problems into simple solutions
- Strong analytical skills and desire to write clean, correct and efficient code
- Sense of ownership, urgency and pride in your work
- Experience in machine learning practices

Beneficial experience (not essential):

- Python
- MLFlow, Seldon for ML model tracking
- For deployment, Docker, Kubernetes for hosting models, Argo and Git| CI/CD
- Data processing with Apache Spark, Argo or similar
