This is an exciting opportunity, for a full stack software engineer to join an Oxford University company who are working to create a future where AI and humans work together to solve the world’s most important problems.

Joining a rapidly growing engineering team within a machine learning company operating at the intersection of innovation, research and usability with AI built for the real world. We are looking for a full stack software engineer to work alongside a team taking ideas from concept through to production and making solutions to complex data-centric problems. 

The role will include using a core technology stack including React, Node.js, PostgreSQL and Kubernetes.

Role and responsibilities:
Working within a team of talented software engineers, scientists, designers and product specialists you will be at the heart of the engineering effort enabling delivery of AI / Machine Learning in a diverse range of projects such as fraud detection, policing, and electric vehicle charging networks. This will include working with users on new features, prototyping, exploring and validating ideas and designing features for cloud based systems.

Skills Required:
  • At least two years commercial software engineering experience
  • A degree in a technical discipline such as Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics etc or equivalent skills and knowledge
  • Good knowledge and understanding of machine learning/ AI / Data Science including deploying machine learning in production or commercial applications.
Desirable Skills:
  • Further knowledge of additional software skills such as scripting, CI/CD, UI/UX, design, databases
  • Experience working in an agile environment with an understanding of the DevOps movement and culture
  • Familiarity with other technologies including Flask, Redux and AWS
  • Previous use of modern numeric or big data frameworks such as Sklearn, Pandas, Tensorflow, PyTorch, Spark, Numba, Kafka, Apache Arrow, or Parquet

This opportunity will be working for a company passionate about investing in its people providing benefits including physical and mental well-being initiatives. As well as this they are offering a competitive salary ranging between £40,000 and £60,000 depending on experience.
