Reqiva are working with an exciting technology company near Cambridge who are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic software design engineer to join their friendly and collaborative team.

Types of Roles & Responsibilities of an Ethernet Design Engineer:

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain network software
  • Improve and develop Ethernet switches to aid surveillance and imaging systems
  • Work on Application Layer 2 and Layer 3
  • Closely work with different teams including the hardware and manufacturing functions
  • Input new ideas to strengthen existing products and services

Skills & Experiences of an Ethernet Design Engineer:

  • 5 years of experience working in an Embedded Environment
  • Hands on experience designing and developing network software
  • Knowledge of network protocols including Ethernet/IP/PoE – Layer 2 and 3
  • Embedded C and Linux development
