Location: Remote (UK-based, with occasional office visits – typically 1 day per week)
We’re working with a growing technology business developing high-performance applications used at scale.

They’re looking for a Senior Java Developer with strong Android experience to join their engineering team.

The Role

• Develop and maintain Java-based applications
• Build and enhance Android applications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver new features
• Write clean, scalable, well-documented code
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
• Contribute to architecture and Agile delivery

Requirements

• Strong Java development experience
• Proven Android development (Android SDK, Android Studio)
• Knowledge of MVVM, ViewModel, LiveData
• Experience with Git
• Strong problem-solving skills and team mindset

Desirable

• Payment systems or transaction platforms
• Embedded C/Linux experience
• Performance optimisation or testing experience
• Interest in security or cryptography
