Senior Mechanical Engineer

Reqiva have a new permeant opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a company based in London that work within the satellite and space sector. 

As the Senior Mechanical Engineer you will hit the ground running and take a key role in the mechanical engineering team and undertake mechanical design, analysis, and design data pack creation in the product development. 

The key responsibilities of this Senior Mechanical Engineer will include, 

• Identify and support design trade-offs and produce mechanical designs for project functional and environmental requirements on time and within budget
• Produce concept and detailed designs, using Solidworks
• Undertake design analysis and reviews to ensure design intent, function and interfaces are met. 
• Work within cross functional engineering teams to produce mechanical designs for PCB’s, including board profiles

For this Senior Mechanical Engineer you will need,

• At least 7 years experience of mechanical design within aerospace or within electro mechanical systems. 
• Experience of engineering product life cycle and development phases
• A broad understanding of materials, finishes and manufacturing processes
• A degree in a relevant subject
• Great communication skills and able to mentor more junior members of the team

Our client has offices based in London and can offer hybrid working for this position, however due to the nature of the role candidates will be required to be office based frequently.
