Senior Data Scientist | Climate Tech   

Location: Sydney (Hybrid)

Reqiva is partnering with an innovative climate tech start-up looking for a Senior Data Scientist to help build advanced models that deliver climate risk insights and sustainability metrics.
This role sits at the intersection of data science, geospatial analytics, and climate modelling, contributing to SaaS solutions used to analyse emissions, climate risk, land use change, and carbon sequestration.
What you'll do
  • Develop predictive models and analytics tools using Python
  • Apply machine learning, statistical modelling, and geospatial analysis
  • Work with complex environmental and climate datasets
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to deploy production-ready models
  • Contribute to modelling across emissions, climate risk, and sustainability metrics
What we're looking for
  • 3–6+ years experience in Data Science
  • Strong Python skills (NumPy, Pandas, SciPy, Scikit-learn)
  • Experience with geospatial or remote sensing data
  • Experience deploying models in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
  • Familiarity with Git and Docker
Experience in climate analytics, sustainability, environmental modelling, or agriculture is highly beneficial.
