The story of Gemma Rowe and her steps to success
When Gemma joined Reqiva she already had 7 years recruitment experience under her belt but had never worked in the tech space before, and anyone who knows the tech market, knows it’s a very different ball game to most other sectors. For Gemma, this didn’t faze her one bit. She wanted a new challenge, to be in a growing sector where demand was high, and where she had the opportunity to learn new skills. For us, we were looking for someone to work alongside our Co-Founder Antony on the Electronics and Embedded Engineering division – an area Antony had meticulously developed since launching the business in 2008. We needed an established recruiter with strong account management and client development skills and it’s fair to say with Gemma, it was a match made in heaven.

After a brief settling in period to learn the market, Gemma has absolutely flown in her role – consistently top of the leader board, a regular on our quarterly Club Lunches for top performers, and not to mention two significant promotions in two years putting her on track for her next promotion to Principal Consultant level. What sets her apart is her natural ability to develop personal relationships and this has not gone unnoticed amongst her clients and candidates receiving many accolades relating to her professionalism, responsiveness, and unwavering support.
